Issei Uno from Japan and Chicago ranked fifth, not just another name in hip-hop and R&B, he is the power of original skills and credibility. He suddenly broke out in 2021 and he quickly won the Tiktok Limelight song contender, which caught a personal focus. But this is him OUTTA time (attribute.JPWave) The partnership with rodeo is part of advertising and marketing, which really turns into the mind.
Despite his growing success, Issei’s trip wasn’t actually going smoothly. Before returning to Japan, he devoted his expanding years in Chicago, where he met his family’s search for songs. However, by completely solving, he transformed his interests into truth. On February 19, he surrendered on his first full CD A precious mother This is a very personal job, both a love letter to my mother and a strong statement of his market environment.
Japanese Signboard sat down with him to talk about his motivation, the battle behind his art and why he devoted himself to himself.
Congratulations on the CD you posted! I heard this is your mom’s oath. What enthusiasm do you make such an individual thing?
I was invested in my teenage years in Chicago, but when I returned to Japan in late 2023, it was when I was really committed to the songs. At first, my parents were completely against it. My entire family members (composed of long-term loved ones) operate in health care. I will definitely follow the exact same courses, such as offensive regulations.
So, how do they respond when you inform them of their desires?
I am 17 years old and resting on the table and then squirt: “I gave up. I want to earn a song to live.” (Laughs) My mom and dad are on the ice. The area is totally quiet – like they can’t manage it either I simply claim.
For three years, they fought with me. They don’t understand why I abandoned the pursuit of this unpredictability security. However, as time goes by, they see my severity – I am not only fantasizing, but also doing the work. Finally, they came. Currently, they are fully registered by the vessel.
So when I made my first CD, I wanted it to be a statement, not just my mother, for the global. Here is what I claim: “My trip as a musician begins here.”
So no one in your family wants you to be a musician.
no way. I also discussed that the song was my first song. “Can be done better.” That was 17 years old. That was the moment when I initially tested the self-evident policy among family members, where everyone could follow “regular” courses, especially in the healthcare field.
At that table, they were stunned when I told them my choice. They contradicted it for the next 3 years. But I’ve actually been relentless – I’ve actually been writing songs and I’ve actually been constantly verifying that it’s more than just a stage. Ultimately, they saw that I really didn’t quit and for the moment they fully maintained me.
So when I made this CD, I asked myself, “I want to point out my first unindexed job?” The response was clear – I wanted to prove that my mom was the beginning of my job.
I understand. This is what leads to the oath. What was my life like when I was a child?
As a kid, I was always trying to find the right response – just like every little thing has to be great. My mom and dad never had extensive claims, but the pressure to meet certain criteria.
This CD is my own resolution. The songs provide me with immature flexibility, which is why this information is so important to me. See how the audience gets in touch with my songs – Make sure I made the right choice.
This is the specificity represented by this CD.
Take a look at the various music on the CD, you are not only singing all kinds of likes, but also presenting your development, fighting and resolutions as a musician. Will your value or thinking framework change with the form of production procedures?
Yes, for sure. Before, I assumed Love exists when others admit it – like no one sees it, it is unreal. However, through the program that made this CD, I realized that love is not something that needs to be verified. Plus, if no one gets there, you can still include Love globally. From my perspective, a big improvement,,,,,,, As an individual and a musician.
The tunes on the CD include “Cha Cha AI Mission”. When did you develop the term “Cha Cha ai”?
When I did this song, I began to observe a lot of people who unexpectedly tried to get people around me – not everyone has great goals. This made me think about the difference between true love and incorrect love. At first, I considered calling the tune “pseudo-love” or “plastic love,” but the expression is indeed predictable and expected. They really didn’t really match my urge to innovate. “cha cha” appears over and over again as I pay attention to the tune again. In Japanese, “cha cha” is a pleasant term that indicates teasing or making jokes. Combining it with “AI” (Love) provides a unique spin – it retains information about checking love, but in a relaxing and enjoyable way, it’s not extreme. It’s an excellent balance.
It’s perfectly stable. I heard you do art for “Cha Ai” yourself?
Yes! Since the theme is “love”, I plan to make something personal and hands-on, and that’s really my business. However, at the same time, I don’t want to take regular classes – I hope to do a point of view that musicians wouldn’t consider. Eventually, I stayed at the employees’ homes, and they were almost everywhere, and they handed me a box of twelve kinds of clay in various shades and claimed to “do something.” So I just deal with it – no mapping, no overthinking – just pure imagination. This is how art works, completely spontaneous and unfiltered.
Love does pass the “cha ai”. You deal with wavy Lex and JP. What causes this teamwork?
JP waves are held in Murakami by creating iconic tunes. He and I were close to each other and we participated in a program. When three people get each other, it all begins. After that, the waves’ JP welcomes us to a writing camp where the three get along with each other again. This is how relaxed I feel, and these three people need to form the following tune. I assume: “If these three people form tunes to each other, then we are most likely to produce something wonderful.”
You deal with an impressive team of manufacturers on the CD. How do you really feel when you learn that they will produce it?
To be honest, I’m very happy to be able to deal with such an extraordinary manufacturer. Before we also started investigating my dear mother, I flew to Korea to realize everyone personally. We not only talk about songs, but we also get to know each other and make sure we truly maintain the environment on our personal degrees. They are all great people and from the moment we linked, I realized that I am planning to produce with them now. When I shared my vision for CD and the music I planned to make, they returned to a great track- they completely thought about what I was thinking about, usually before I chat. The whole manufacturing industry is very effective and it seems that everyone brings something special to the table. Finally, all these various skills and influences are integrated to produce something much deeper than I thought.
At present, I would like to ask you something about you. I think you’ve actually been following all the genres of songs because you’re a kid and those songs are actually always very close. What prompted you to start making your own songs?
I was sent to Japan throughout the pandemic and couldn’t return to the United States for 3 months, I was completely in the house and couldn’t make a lot of points. I had a lot of time on my hands, and in the end, I just assumed, “Okay, I’ll do a song.” At that moment, I used to write my first track ever – “Can do better.” Recall that’s the shifting factor.
Because “can do better” you form a lot of hip-hop tracks. What do you think is the charm of hip-hop?
For me, hip jumping is about flexibility – there is no proper response and no strict formula exists. What you can state is completely primitive and direct, which is what makes it so effective. Before I start my hip jump, I usually notice very stylish pop songs – every little thing is neat, organized and well-crafted. However, it shocked me when I first moved to Chicago and really knowledgeable hip-hop. I keep in mind, assuming “Wait…can you state it in a similar way to this?” This has had a big impact on me – seeing how musicians reveal their feelings, fights and ideas without delaying. This fact is actually something I’ve never experienced in a song, which makes me want to produce hip hop myself.
Have you experienced Japan and the United States in the Japanese and foreign hip-hop scenes?
In Chicago, there are more hip-hop than just songs and can survive. Personal struggles as busy as life and makes a living. Sometimes, this also indicates a turn to the road. “I need to do that. That’s how I accomplish it.” Bordering with this force makes me value work, but it also makes me show it. I thought, “I’m influenced by this earth, but I don’t need to take it to the extreme.”
When it comes to the hip-hop scene in Japan, I’m actually just back in the year so I’m still finding points. However, in the main difference I’ve seen, the refined limit between copy and motivation. Some musicians here are still determining how to make hip-hop songs, not just copying what’s going on abroad.
For me, it has something to do with motivation – using the meaning of hip-hop and making something real. I think it is necessary to position the balance between appreciating society and dedicated to your vision.
Don’t hesitate if you’re alone. I use it to think about everything before I do something about it. I will certainly stick to uncertainty, and on the second time I thought I was, this worry would definitely reduce my frustration. But in retrospect, I realized-I needed to rely on myself from the beginning.
The earth is huge, somewhere, in a certain area, you will definitely be specifically approved as before. Instead of adapting to other individuals’ assumptions, you focus on your own.
I want to make songs, and it’s a risk-free space for those who fight for themselves. If you’ve actually felt shed before, please understand – I see you, I hear you, I’m here.
Therefore, the allowed one another to move forward. I got you. Allow each other to do it.
