In 2022, the women in the Signature Japanese songs were introduced to commemorate musicians, manufacturers and executives who actually paid considerable payments to the songs through their work and influenced various other women through their work, because Sirtile as the Signature Song of the Year honors, as in 2007, it was Song of the Year in 2007. Rena Yamazaki talks with writer Rio Hirai, the latest addition to the series. Participants in the former team of idolaters can still share her views on culture and society through her daily Tokyo FM radio show “I Want to Talk to Someone” and her writing. The 27-year-old shared her feelings about her transition from idolatry entertainer to journalism, opportunities to work in women and the relevance of speaking out loud.

Unlike TV, it’s hard to try to use your voice and words to convey points without relying on aesthetic results, but it’s also an integral part of charm.

Is there any kind of difference in where you work between your period and current job?

When I was an idol admirer, my position was to be my ideal in the duties I played. Now, I’ve actually thought about my work design and there are more possibilities to share my perspective, so I actually end up becoming more positive. This shows that I have more obligations, but stress and anxiety are a big stimulus.

It was not common for former idol worshipers to enter journalism. How do you watch the second career of various other idol worshippers?

Everyone has their own courses after completing them from idol worshippers, but many of them are still stars. Again, when I was still on the team, I loved checking points in many categories and connecting with words, and there was equally potential for TV shows, so I intended to continue serving the work that my intellectual inquiry had. That’s why I chose to go into radio and writing.

How do you really feel when you are attacked by a TV analyst?

I was surprised from the beginning because I never believed that I would definitely contribute to the unique strategy that covers the results of your House of Lords. My administrative team asked me at the time, “We have obtained this, what do you believe?” I believe, “It’s a difficult problem worth taking.” I asked them the question of choice and they said, “We believe it is good for your work and an excellent discovery experience,” so I have the ability to form my own ideal.

Do you often want political and social issues?

Are you surprised when operating on the media?

I’m talking much more than I thought. It is also possible to spread informal comments on social media sites, misunderstandings and attract attention. I tried to pick my words more carefully than ever.

When stars speak out about the politics of the country, they are often criticized. What do you think of this?

Well, no doubt, when I discuss national politics, individuals often claim to point “you are a smart person” or “you don’t know what you are discussing.” But, I also believe that if I don’t ask for anything, absolutely nothing will change. In fact, it seems that girls are much more resistant than men when discussing national politics. For example, when a man in the sixties talked about the exact same point of view, he was considered quiet and wise, but when a woman in her twenties talked about it, she was considered a big head or trying to grow.

That’s why I think it’s crucial to maintain a speech. My point of view may be constantly aligned with the target market, and usually this may be incorrect, but if I keep peace, I will eventually believe in the dissatisfaction of young people with national politics. I want to confirm that some people do care and believe.

In today’s age of social media websites, how do you view how to spread information?

Nowadays, it is easy for anyone to share their views, but I believe this also shows that individuals have a higher obligation to speech. Specifically, in journalism, what you claim is probably out of context and misunderstanding, so I pay more attention to the words I choose.

Serious views are often conveniently spread on social media sites, making it difficult to have a quiet conversation. In this case, I think it is very important to clarify your position, and to provide a positive view rather than exacerbate the battle. That’s why when I don’t know something, I try to claim “I don’t know” and want to keep an eye on what the experts claim.

What do you think is the requirement to listen to women’s opinions?

Initially, I thought it was crucial to have more announcements. I also believe that we need to create an environment in which women are not afraid to speak loudly, but rather feel that it is completely natural to do so. My perfection is to have a culture where those who think women’s views need to be like criticism.

What do you think idol worshipers and female celebrities need for a long-term job?

I believe this is especially true in the idol worshipper market where it is difficult for women to do long-term work. “Young people” can easily enter their own value, and sometimes as they get older, various tasks will tighten. That’s why when I’m still an idol admirer, I hope to find various other tasks I can do. This is my first step into the field of radio and writing, which is not limited by age. Better yet, an environment that is easy to come back after leaving, while women are completely free to build their careers.

Do you think the need to make women more energetic responsibilities in the show business?

I think it is very important to provide a better environment for mental health care. Today, more and more home entertainment companies are providing accessibility to mental health experts, but I do feel that there is still no awareness of the relevance of mental health care.

When did you first realize the relevance of mental health care?

When I stayed in college. At the time, I found it difficult to stabilize the idol worshiper’s tasks through research, so I was often most likely to be a mental health facility. Many people are really embarrassed when seeking this help, but in my own experience, I believe I need to protect myself.

What do you want to try in the future? What do you want to show our visitors?

I plan to publish 2 publications this year and am currently planning for this. I also want to continue doing what I actually do. I want to talk about the audience taking care of their minds and bodies. Inevitably, you can block it yourself. Hopefully you will surely remember to treat it yourself with the help of those around you.
