Lindsey Buckingham Reunites With Mick Fleetwood in the Studio

Longtime Fleetwood MAC guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has teamed up again with former teammate Mick Fleetwood, and the two have recently reunited in the studio.

Swedish producer Carl Falk details the news of the two’s musicians’ party, who recently landed on the clue to share photos of Fleetwood’s studio that has been making new solo albums. The ostensible meeting also led Fleetwood to work with Adam Granduciel of the Drug War.

“Sit with Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood to play the moments of the album Lindsey, which we’ve been working on,” Falke wrote. “To see his true happiness, let Mick finally make his own album and offer the willingness to play and sing. Can’t wait to finish this guitar.”

Another article shared by Falk captured Buckingham in the studio with a guitar in his hand. “Mike and Lindsay are together again, and this is a flawless guitarist.” Currently, official details of Fleetwood have not been announced for the content or release of the upcoming album.

Fleetwood is one of the founding members of Fleetwood Mac along with guitarist Peter Green and bassist John McVie, who have been percussionists for the organization throughout their careers. Buckingham worked as a guitarist and singer with singer Stevie Nicks in 1974, completing the band’s most famous lineup, including McVie’s then-wife Christine.

Buckingham left the group in 1987 but rejoined part of the band’s classic lineup party in 1997. Buckingham stayed with the band until he announced in 2018 that he would no longer tour as part of the Fleetwood Mac.

“I’m sadly sad that I’ve been away from the band for 43 years. It’s not something I did or I chose,” Buckingham later explained at a live concert. “I think what you’d say is that there are some factions in the band that have lost their point of view.”

He added in the organization’s decision: “This damages the 43-year legacy we strive to build, which is indeed a legacy of difficulties in achieving higher truths and higher destiny.”

The guitarist was replaced by former Tom Petty and heartbroken member Mike Campbell and filled the House of Representatives Neil Finn in the band’s final years. Fleetwood Mac will officially split in 2022 after Christine McVie’s death.
